A raised polished border runs the whole way round the cross, and inside it a single line of round stones is bead-set down the centre of each arm. That border is the point of the design: the metal frame stays bright and unbroken while the stones sit recessed within it, so the cross keeps a clean outline instead of dissolving into texture the way a fully covered face does. The arm ends are lightly chamfered rather than pointed. Push-back posts.
